For the past six years artists Paul Harfleet and Hilary Jack have worked as a curatorial partnership, focussing on high quality, conceptually driven, research based contemporary art. Over the past five years their main concern as curators has been to facilitate an innovative programme of exhibitions and events by emerging and established artists at Apartment, a project and exhibition space run from Harfleet's one bedroom council flat on the sixth floor of sixties tower block in central Manchester.

Off site projects also included exhibitions in the UK and Berlin, while last summer they became the directors of Artranspennine08, a multi site exhibition of over forty artists at various locations across the Trans Pennine Way.

Now working without a permanent space, Harfleet&Jack is the new incarnation of this collaboration which will continue to explore and develop similar curatorial interests in a variety of alternative venues and situations.
