twenty+3 projects is a contemporary art space in the converted front room of a terraced house in Manchester run by artist Heidi Schaefer. Opened in December 2006, it is an international space for exhibitions and events. The gallery operates independent of grants and locates itself outside of commercial and institutional art spaces. Its mandate is to show contemporary art practice from both international as well as UK artists across a range of mediums. To date the focus has been on showing the work of Canadian, German and regional artists.
