Named after a dodgy theory of parallel evolution and shared experience, the artist collective 100^th Monkey rose from the ashes of the university-based artist collective 14 Gifted Children.

Exploiting collectivity more for motivation, opportunity and asylum rather than collaborative practice 100^th Monkey seeks to develop projects which expand networks between artists. Their aim for fluid membership allows for the expansion and contraction of numbers depending on the project in hand. 100^th Monkey currently has three core members – Bryony Moore, Claire Davison and Suzanne Smith, and they continue to work with long-term collaborator Andrew Lim also showing at Trade City.
