Kevin Hunt selected for Trade City by Harfleet&Jack
Using found materials Kevin Hunt deconstructs and transforms objects to recreate sculptural forms. His interventions cause the objects he works with to irreversibly and serendipitously metamorphose, the finished work referencing entropy, disintegration and decay. Kevin is based in Liverpool and has exhibited regionally most recently in a group show at The Bluecoat, Liverpool.

Harfleet&Jack's Curatorial Approach: Trade City
For TradeCity Harfleet & Jack have selected three artists that reference the unique qualities of the CHIPS building designed by Will Alsop who is said to be inspired by “three fat chips piled on top of one another”. The resulting building and its’ architectural form and surrounding area suggest the notions of scale and ironic metaphorical interplays that Andrea Booker, Paul Cordwell and Kevin Hunt explore within their artistic practices. Each artist explores notions of scale, perception of the urban environment, and the status of the objects that exist within it.
