Cherry Tenneson selected for Trade City by Rogue Project Space
Cherry Tenneson’s practice involves making maps/diagrams of her view and experience whilst sitting at desks. She mostly documents her own studio desk top, including objects that end up there (such as crisps, books or milk cartons). These maps are influenced by Tenneson’s preoccupation with the banal side of bureaucratic scenarios and the inanity of certain instructional graphics. She places herself in the role of a lone 'desk worker', endlessly producing banal information about the experience of this self-inflicted role.
